Check out the meter (and awesome reflection in the water) about 2/3rd of the way to the right. I produced this image by combining 76 frames in StarStaX. Each frame shot using my Canon 6D and Sigma 15mm at f/2.8 10 sec ISO 3200. I spent nearly three hours removing airplane trails in Photoshop. I shot this at the old abandoned Naval Station at the Salton Sea. The conditions were perfect for nighttime photography - clear skies and almost no wind. I shot MANY more photos at this location and will be processing and posting them over the next few days.
While processing (mostly removing airplane trails) from many frames I shot to produce star trails, I just discovered that I captured a meteor! I believe that this may be a Geminid. Check out the reflection! Sorry about the graininess - this is a crop of a 15mm wide angle frame. I shot this at the old abandoned Naval Station at the Salton Sea. The conditions were perfect for nighttime photography - clear skies and almost no wind. I shot MANY more photos at this location and will be processing and posting them over the next few days.
